Student Moving
One room out of a shared house is not a household, and should not be priced like one.
What we do
Student moves have two things working against them. The load is small, so a company that only sells full-truck moves will quote you as though you owned a house. And the dates are fixed - almost everyone in Ontario moves on May 1 or September 1, which is exactly when every mover in the province is already booked.
We price small loads as small loads, with a van or small truck and a short minimum booking, and we hold slots for term dates if you book early enough.
The rest is the practical stuff: getting one room out of a shared house without disturbing the other four, clearing what you are not taking so the landlord cannot keep the deposit, and holding your things over the summer if your leases do not line up.
