Information we collect
Movemiles collects information you provide when booking (name, address, phone, email) and uses it to deliver moving services, send confirmations, and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers necessary to complete your move (e.g. email delivery).
MoveMiles credits (rewards)
MoveMiles credits are our own rewards program. You earn 1 credit for every $1 you spend on a completed move. 500 credits = $25 off a future service, 1,000 credits = $50 off. New signups receive 1,000 credits ($50) in their account. Credits are not tied to any other loyalty program and are earned and redeemed only through Movemiles for moving, packing, same-day delivery, or junk removal services as described on our website.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies for admin sign-in only (secure, httpOnly session cookie). For visitors, we use local storage in your browser to remember your language preference, reservation list, and (if you create an account when booking) your sign-in state. This data stays on your device. You can clear it via your browser settings. By using the site and accepting our cookie notice, you agree to this use.
Security
We use HTTPS in production, secure session cookies for admin access, and security headers (X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy) to help protect against common web risks. Booking and account data are stored in a database with access restricted to our systems. For production use we recommend strong passwords, keeping SESSION_SECRET and database credentials secure, and not committing .env files.
